One Response to “Mechanism of Photo Copier?”

  1. Dreamweaver Says:

    This is quick and dirty.
A photocopier uses static electricity to put a positive DC charge on a receptive drum which is then exposed to an image which is illuminated by light. The drum is then exposed to an AC charge which eliminates the +DC charge in the area surrounding the image. The drum rotates and picks up an ink powder which has a -DC charge in the image area. A -DC charge then transfers the image to paper which is drawn between the drum and the charge unit. The paper with the ink image is then pressed between heated rollers and the image is fixed to the paper.

This link will give you a much more detailed idea than I have room to type. :)))
